These necklaces are made by the Batwa of Job's tears (scientific name: Coix lacryma-jobi). They are traditionally worn by Batwa criss-crossed across their chest - and they're used in cultures around the world! The Batwa hand-bead each necklace and they are one of their biggest sources of income, especially to women who do not weave baskets.
The long strands can be worn as is, or wrapped around the neck two to three times. They come in an all-gray and gray-and-red (which alternate Job's tear's with flame tree seeds), and we have one necklace that is doubled up with a medium strand of all-gray and a shorter, connected strand of red-and-gray. GORGEOUS and UNIQUE!
