The Importance of Honey to the Batwa People
The importance of honey to the Batwa people, an indigenous community in East-Central Africa, can't be overstated. For the Batwa, honey is a vital resource that supports their health, economy, and traditions. Yet after their forced removal from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, they haven't had easy access to wild honey anymore. RSF plans to create a honey bee project with the Batwa, allowing them to access honey for food and medicine, and even sell it to bring income to their families.

Impact of Climate Change on Indigenous Communities: Stories from Kanungu District
Indigenous communities inhabit areas rich in natural resources, areas at high risk from environmental changes. Heavy rainfall has not only destroyed this critical infrastructure but can also disrupt agricultural activities as crop fields experience erosion and destruction. The loss of the bridge from Kalehe to Buhoma town is a serious problem.
